Summary 2 - Final

Houbara bustards

Habara bustards are endangered to extinction. Their numbers have decreased significantly. There are plans to prevent them from being extinct. A fund was created in 2006 all the countries where houbara bustards were numerous. They have plans in which they expand and release 15,000 per season.  Houbara bustards are divided into 2 groups; breeding and releasing. There is a good relations between humans and birds as the author     said “ Birds that are destined to be used for breeding are trained to be familiar with  humans” (Todorova, V. 2012,). 10 percent of them will be kept for breeding, while the rest will be released. On the other hand chicks that will be released will be kept in cages for 9 months. A year after their release 65 percent of them survive. Since the past 10 years the male’s number have increased 10 times.
